I just don't visit any fishy links and open programs that I'm unsure of with sandboxie.

I have a customized firewall built on top of linux; I use Windows Defender as a local desk top anti-virus app; any link or email which I am not sure of I open a VM using VMWare workstation and check inside of the VM; I also turn off all unnecessary ports and for certain apps I reassign ports to non-standard ports.

Don't click any ad says "Click here to make your computer 100 times faster (Microsoft Certified)", any flashy style looking ads,

I use Windows Defender. That's all.

I recommend people using Windows Defender. ADWCleaner and JRT Tool monthly twice.

On my Linux box that sits between my modem and router:

iptables

Out of interest, do you use UFW (IPtables frontend) or actually IPtables? :D

I use Linux now so it is not much of a concern because I don't really download any executable files outside of the terminal.

When I used windows, I relied on common sense and the in built security features.

I don't use an anti anything. I disabled most security stuff. The only thing that is close to security is ad block to prevent pop ups when having me time if you know what I mean. I don't go on weird websites so I don't think I need one. Is LastPass free and secure?
