I hate videos of people unboxing prebuilt PC's. Almost every time, they are super unbalanced (i7 and 960??!?!?! What!) and then they encourage them and say things that are false! And then I read the comments and see all these people wanting to buy them when they have budgets of thousands of dollars. I HATE these videos! Anyone with me?

Well, on one hand, they are indeed unbalanced, but on the other, it leaves room for upgrading in the future. That i7 won't be bottlenecking any new GPU's for the next few years to come. Not to mention the people that buy these computers, tend to be less tech savvy than people that build their own, so I would rather see stronger CPU's paired with weaker GPU's, than the other way around. Let's face it, replacing a GPU for someone that has never done it, is far easier than replacing a CPU, which requires a more delicate touch.

 

The existence of these "unbalanced" PC's is not exactly bad. However, telling people false information about how great they are, that is where i draw the line and start clearing things up.

I once saw a 5960X/GT 610 build. The horror.

 

Anyway, I don't care if they buy them. It's their money they are potentially wasting. But I don't like it when they endorse others to potentially waste their money too.

I dunno, I'd like an i7/960 build. Not bad for the money and I do more that could use the i7 than I would a 960.

i7/960 actually isn't that bad. I've seen MUCH worse ok
