POLL: Do You Guys Monitor Your PC While Playing A Game?

Like the title says (things like temps, usage etc...), just wondering For me I always have HWMonitor or Afterburner up on my second monitor, and I also have NVIDIA Share running to show fps and record. (Shadow Play "Beta")

I never bother, I only have one monitor, if I'm playing CS:GO I don't really care, however when I was trying to diagnose batman arkham knight I thought that looking at msi afterburner would have helped but it really didn't.

When I get a new game I always check loads, temps, framerate etc but not after that So no.

i always keep the steam fps counter on, i can only see it if im paying attention to it. 

Yeah I used nvidia share(shadowplay) to keep an eye on fps as well.

Usually use Nvidia Control Panel FPS counter if playing a game for the first time to determine graphics settings, then turn it off as prefer playing without it the majority of the time.

 

The only time I put any system monitoring systems like Afterburner, Task Manager etc. is when I'm getting unusually low performance, to try and determine what may be the problem.

got 3 monitors anyways so why not?  I keep a much closer eye when I've been dabbling with my OC's or fan speeds (which is probably too often)

Always run games in windowed just to run afterburner

my temps are so low i don't even care. there's no way my pc will explode it's always a nice 99f.

Nope, I only monitor while benching in a game, not while actually playing

Depends on how heavy a game I am playing. If it is system usage intensive I will monitor.

But mostly because of interest than worry.

I tend to use Asus FanXpert mostly for system fan control (rather than monitoring) duties. I do use Afterburner quite frequently to switch between Auto and fixed RPM, and to occasionally glance at temps in new titles in particular. I like my machine to be uber-quiet for desktop use, but not at the expensive of cooling while in-game. So, I need to tinker with it a little at times.

I mostly just monitor temperatures because I run my fans at 0 rpm most of the time

Always. CPU temps, GPU temps, RAM usage, FPS, etc. I'm OCD like that.

i might be going a tad overkill on monitoring, but for me optimizing settings is half the fun.

I used to when I had several monitors, now I only monitor if I'm overclocking or something.
