I literally cannot understand people's problem with this. 

 

 

So you might feel a bit "cold" when in actual fact is is a 40-degree day. So what? As long as you remain hydrated (which you will because the heat will dehydrate you and make you thirsty regardless of how you feel anyway :/ ) you will be completely fine? If you were to suffer heatstroke then it's your fault for putting yourself in that situation anyway. 

 

If you cant go outside without getting heatstroke then  you should stay inside anyway. 

 

And this isn't a magic thing. The effects would be very subtle. It would not make you feel like you are in a freezer sitting in a hot car with the windows up. Doesnb't work like that, it just makes you think you are SLIGHTLY less hot/cold than you are.

Why not just put a chip in our brains and make us always happy, productive, kind, and it can monitor for viruses.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention, Peltier cools are horribly inefficient and would not last long even with a large battery.

Well it's if you're sick or walking around in 100 degree weather (Fahrenheit). You wouldn't walk into a lava pit with or without it, so no more or fewer deaths will occur.

 

Yeah, that's true. But you're less likely to pay attention to your bodily needs if you feel like it's cooler. 

 

For instance working hard in 40 degree weather would kill you quickly if you're not careful, and having a wrist band that tricks your body into thinking that it's 22 degrees doesn't help.
