-SD cards? Just throwing this one out there, I don't know many people who still use them. I think they are still popular with photography though.

HDDs. SSDs will soon rule the world.

No too expensive for so little benefits.

Wow your PC waiting time is a bit faster (solution: you can wait) but u sacrifice 80-90% of the storage. For the same price you can get a HDD that's 10x more storage than an SSD but you sacrifice speed

Well, VHS and even Beta are not extinct, there are quite a few of them out in the wild, they are obsolete of course but not extinct.

 

As for what could be the next technology to become obsolete, those could be audio CDs.

I have a friend who has a $1000+ rig, and I looked at the back of his monitor, and he is using a DVI - VGA adapter when his monitor has a DVI slot!

Proprietary and stand-alone Sat-Nav's. Built in ones will be more like Tesla's or Android Auto/Apple connection service. Those built-in ones of yesteryear were the worst anyway.
