Well technically it's still his desktop even if he doesn't use it that much.

yes but, he referred to it leaking on his desk and putting it back on his desk after it was fixed...

he does use it as his desktop in the new office. (he even places it back on his desk at the end of that video)

and that it wasnt a big deal that his desktop being worked on do to the fact that he had a good lap top...

 

basic implying that its his normal daily desktop throughout the video...

It's his work PC in the new office now, all those ideos were from the old office

it sat around collecting dust at the old office, so he put it to use as his big boss office blingbling pc at the new office.

 

if i recall they did a giveaway a while back, but they had some specific requirements for the winner to respond, and i think they gave up after like... 5 or 6 drawings and it just sat there collecting dust.

That is because, it's his office PC, the images you linked are from when it was first made, I'm pretty sure in some of the moving VLOGs he stated it would be his daily driver in his office so that's where it now lives.

it sat around collecting dust at the old office, so he put it to use as his big boss office blingbling pc at the new office.

 

if i recall they did a giveaway a while back, but they had some specific requirements for the winner to respond, and i think they gave up after like... 5 or 6 drawings and it just sat there collecting dust.

thats this thing. puget got them that one for a video, and to give it away at the end. then the copyright claim happened so they cant sell any more, meaning its a "one of a kind" machine now (queue 1000s more giveaway entries).

 

the big requirement they had for the winner is for the winner to send proof they purchased the required oil for the machine, since the oil wasnt included in the giveaway, which none of the picked winners did, and the giveaway kinda died.

so at 6:55 in the video he calls it "his desktop" so he actually uses this as his daily office PC? i thought it was just a prop they used in the background for other videos... 

 

 

 

 

Cares enough/ watches enough to notice something in the background being in many videos but not enough to know That its the old office where it wasnt used when in the backround and the new office its his desktop PC....

Well it's really cold at night and really hot in the day, lonely, dangerous, has high levels of radiation, takes ages to get there due to extremely poor road links and the dress code is really impractical.

the problem is they tried a good chunk of times, and they either had to rinse and repeat until they found someone, which would take an insane amount of time, or they would have to change the rules of the giveaway they put up front, which would turn into kinda shady practisces, even if meant good.

Yeah that's definitely true. i joined about a month before that giveaway and tried pm'ing luke an linus saying I'd definitely buy the oil but im sure hundreds of people did the same as that was the basic idea of the entire thing. Its sad though, why enter if your not serious and ruin it for everyone else? Oh well haha. Someday...
