Newegg's Shell Shocker for today: Intel 750 Series SSD, 400GB, Add-in Card version, for $299.99, with free shipping. Not much else to say.

Throw in the Amex offer, and it comes out to $275.

 

EDIT: the 2.5" version is also $299.99. 800GB versions are $499.99, and 1.2TB is $699.99.  So $99.99 base cost, then $200 for every 400 GB.

Those were like $400 when they first came out and $1000 for the 1.2TB version

Not as fast as SATA or M.2 SSD's, but still faster than the HDD.  These boot in around 23-30 seconds and most SATA III / M.2 seem to boot anywhere from 5 - 14 seconds.  It's a gorgeous price-drop, though.

True.  I did see in regards to Hardwarecanucks and I believe Techreport's reviews on it - browsers, standard tasks, opening multiple programs - it's insane.
