i5 4440 Or i5 4460

Both very simmilar prices but cant decide which one to pair with my Gtx 960 4gb,Any thoughts?

The difference between the two is negligible. I'd suggest not getting a GTX 960 though.

Get the i5 4460 it performs very slightly better. But, it's better for you to get a r9 380 4gb than the 960 4G if you didn't buy it yet since it outperforms it.

Is that the 2gb version because it does not label it like the r9 380 which makes it seem like the 2gb 960.  And its not that much worst (was seeing around 4fps-6fps at times but either way, they are generally close.

Get the i5-4460 if you have an H97 or Z97 board and an i5-4440 if you have an H81/H87/Q87/B85/Z87 board.

4460 is haswell refresh, it is newer (q2 '14)

4440 is the first gen haswell (q3 '13)

 

 between the 2,the 4460 performs better

you can use both on any lga 1150 platfrom, but at b85/h81/h87/z87 u may need a bios update for the 4460 to work

Considering they are soo similar cpus, i dont think the cost would be that different, if it was over $20 more for the i5-4460, just get the i5-4440.

 

If you are talking about the gtx 960 and r9 380, they should be close in price so get one that suits your needs.  If not ($40+ difference) i would say get the cheaper one.

I never said the r9 380 was worst, i simply stated how the cards are close in performance.  I did however say to get the one to suit ones needs.  An example of this would be Nvidia Gamework and how some may prefer this in the games that they play, this is however if the game supports it, like Fallout 4.  So the choice is always open, but a few fps should not stop you from getting something you like.  The only execption to this is Nvidia Hairworks due to it dropping upwards to 10fps+.

I would only use a 960 for 1280x1024p or 1600x900p!

I think that was a joke but in case it was not, the 960 is fine for 1080p.  I actually saw (if i remember the prices correctly) a gtx 960 cheaper than a gtx 950!  That is almost a 20% increase in performance for less!
