Why do people hate razer

MrKappa

I love Razer, I don't like them because of their fancy lights I like them due to the high quality they put in their products. Please just tell me why you don't like them, it boggles my mind.

Because, generally, their products are expensive and not of great quality. They make good mice, but I wouldn't buy anything else from them (other than a Razer Blade, if I had the money for it)

Becuase Razer product tend to be overpriced when compared to the competition.

Their quality control has also been lacking over the last 5 or so years.

And I personally don't like the flashy lights.

As an owner of several Razer products, I laughed my ass off at that part

i was in a college filled with gamers, and i've seen every brand of mice from logitech to chinese knockoff mice.

in two years, the only casualties were razer.

lol

After 2013, their quality went down the toilet.

Deathadder is great, abyssus was awesome.

Nothing i could complain.

My Abyssus came with a light left click due to a manufacturing error and it felt like a REALLY good mod for FPS games.

I used to be a huge Razer fanboy (Even got a green/black razer themed PC) but when you look a little further and stuff you'll see that you can get other brands for the same price and better quality or cheaper even.

I still like razer and I haven't actually gotten bad experiences with them but I prefer quality over anything else. And sadly Razer can't really provide that

Their quality isn't really bad, at least in my experience, but their prices are certainly too high. Also, all their products SCREAM 12 year old appeal and are overly flashy and ridiculous for someone who just wants something normal looking.

I'll give you an example to make it more clear to you.

Razer launches the razer blackwidow. A keyboard with MX blue switches, the switches are not cheap, but the quality is very good.

Razer gives it a price to match, everything is fine.

New cheaper switches become available, quality is worse, and price is lower. Razer swaps the switches used in the blackwidow from MX blue to cheap switches.

Retail price stays exacly the same. But the quality went down. Soo yea...

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

Well for one thing it's overpriced.

Where can you see which edition you have? I have a normal blackwidow and the LED in it is blue, and MX blue switches. No idea from which year it is... It can be 2012 tho :D I already have it 3 years.

I think you can still get them. They're called the Razer black widow ultimate classic if I'm sure. I don't have it but I've seen it.

They are like Beats by Dr. Dre. Both expensive and crap when compared to other products of the same price rang, BUT they are good for showing off.

I have a taipan, the worst mouse i've ever used!! 6 months after having it i now i have to unplug it from my pc whenever i turn it on then replug it in wait 10min and even then it tracks like shit! I'd honestly rather use some generic bs peripherals of ebay for like $2 then ever use another razer product!
