Just checked Apples website. Its cheaper. Not to mention having more customization(Can put an i5 and 8gb ram with 1tb instead of just being maxed out.)

Also are they running a quad i7 or those BS dual core ones. I'm failing to see where its going to be twice as fast.

The highest end 13 inch Pro is 2700 USD. Thats an i7, 16gb of ram, 1tb SSD. Can't compare the 15' since its the same price with better graphics. These Surface books aren't that well priced.

Just as a Quick compare. Apple has them beat on pricing AT EVERY LEVEL. The only true differnce is the fact it can become a fat tablet. I dont know if thats worth $200.

In other news, a top fuel drag car is faster than a Honda Civic in a straight line. Even when we take Apple hate into consideration,you can get a pretty good Macbook Pro from them for 2 grand. Of course anything with faster. more expensive parts will have a performance advantage. This is less news and more obvious. 

 

Adding that much raw power into a small device seems impractical because heat is a thing that exists.

Given the Surface Book is confirmed to have a modified 940M. It does indeed perform twice as well as the current available macbook 13's with Iris 6100 from broadwell chip. Although I'm curios to see how well the Intel HD 520 from Skylake fare against the 940M.

Well you can have a tablet without a touchscreen. I have never found the point but some people like it. Still wouldnt pay $200 more just for that. Maybe 50-100.

6100 is not that slow buddy. It is a little slower than 750m which a modified 940m should match.
