Such a company cant compete with the big names were all too familiar with, and those exactly arent doing things right it seems..... But the people who donated at IndieGogo wont have a refund policy if the company turns out to be a huge thief?

its not that easy...

it can take months or even years to discover IF they screwd people over.

 

By that time, it can be a real pain in the ass to resolve stuff in terms of paying donators back...

Well just remember the 6s starts at $649 which is $350 less. I'd obviously go with this for it's specs but a phone is pretty much one of the easiest things to waste money one. A phone in two years will be 2 times as powerful as most phones today. It's never logical to spend over $450-500 on a phone or most tech items for that matter. Most stuff doesn't last very long and you're better off getting something that's mid-tier and upgrading more frequently.

Yea, I never spend more than 300 on a phone but if this did make it to production I would jump on it right away.

I got my LG G3 for $00.99 at Verizon with a two year contact agreement. Yeah this phone would be great but at $700 that's still way too expensive. I mean, you could buy a shit car or a 980ti with that money.

I'm pretty bland but, I like the OS to be plain ol Vanilla Android. I don't need their so called elegant design. That, coupled with the fact that it's gonna beat my wallet in the head, is what turns me off this one. :P

Contract prices don't count since you pay for them in the monthly bill anyways.

Looks cool but I want it running linux. I want to play TF2 on the bus to school. The 4000mah battery looks nice and I like the square look to it. Too bad I am getting an Iphone 6s Plus.

What I think would be the perfect phone to come out (this year) would be this:

  • Snapdragon 808
  • 3GB's of RAM
  • 32-64GB's of Internal Storage
  • Swap-able Sim Cards
  • Upgrade-able storage (Micro SD)
  • 5 inch 1080p IPS Screen
  • Stereo Front Facing Speakers
  • Any Half Decent Sony Camera
  • 3000+ MaH battery.

Boom, pretty much the perfect phone.

 

Zaydo Pulse is due to ship in October, and only thing not on your list is Front-facing speakers and it's got the 810.

 

Personally I think that the Z5 is perfect. only thing it's lacking is the removable battery.

I will absolutely pick up this phone if it ever gets a retail release because it looks too good to be true.

 

 

OP, if it's too good to be true, then the chances of it being crap are pretty high.

Also, I'm sick of stuff like this, that the only thing they have is a CGI video with fancy music.

Hello carl, many have mentiond this volume button design and i am ready to redesign it, however i chose this way because this is where my fingers always ends up when holding a phone, this is the perfect position for me but i will take into consideration and maybe move the buttons they are so close together to allow volume rocking with one thumb.

The vibe I am getting from this is that someone got bored in a design class and wants free money.

hi i created this project and this is what i have to say

 

i founded symetium over a year ago it started out as a concept design for what i wanted in my dream phone i worked on concept designs alot before that as i've always loved design, the idea for symetium started way before 2012 but that was just what i wanted in a smarthone rather than a smartphone i've always felt that smartphones can replace the pc they can replace ALOT in this world but yet they are limited to just being smartphones.
 
Anyway once i shared symetium which started out as a razer phone concept, people really liked the design, i refined it more to my taste and well i started to love it and decided to go for it, so i reached around to various people including factories invested everything i had of my money and started working more and more on the project, i had a model made i got in contact with various factories the founder of oneplus was interested in my work anyway i really started investing my life into it and symetium evolved more and more.
 
The components i chose for symetium are real snapdragon 820 will be standard by next year samsung has begun manufacturing 6 gb of ram and this is something that all phones will have by next year asus released a 256 gb storage smartphone and andromiumos has successfully made a launcher for android thats mouse and keyboard friendly, i just chose the highest end components on the market not compromising on anything.
 
Symetium is not an impossible thing but it is an expensive thing this is more a project i want to do for me and everyone who are like me, the crowdfunding goal has been set to over 1 million dollars if this goal fails to be reached all money will be refunded, i don't intend to scam anyone i am quite known on youtube and on the internet i am not just a random guy who came out of nowhere with a project, this is going to be probably one of the most ambitious projects that i am going to undertake but just because it's amibitious doesn't mean i won't it just means i know theres a market for this phone and personally i want it to be made i want one myself,
 
Truth is anyone can build a smartphone if you have the funding you can prototype a smartphone in any design you want, it's not hard android is open for any modifications, it's technically like building a gaming pc you choose the components you want put them together why do you think theres ripoff iphones everywhere because it's so easy to build a smartphone today, thats why compared to before android there were just known brand smartphones now theres a new brand every day because it's such an easy task with the right contacts and funding.

1. As long as its not bogged down by bloatware and updated ASAP after Google releases an update it should do well

2. If the build quality rivals that of old Nokia and my Sony Ericson K750i (which to this day still doesn't break when dropped-only chip), then I'll probably look at getting one
