MIT develops a camera so fast it can capture as it moves through or by an object

bcredeur97

Hey guys! My dad sent me this, and I think it's a pretty worthy news item so I thought I would post it.

Story is that MIT has made a camera that can "see" light moving. It captures 1 trillion frames per second (yes, that's 1,000,000,000,000 FPS). The video they have on the site is perfect, and this is truly one amazing camera.

The best part about it is, that since it can see light moving, it can actually capture objects behind other objects as light bounces off of them. This literally means that it can see through walls. Really cool tech.

Perhaps this could replace XRays in hospitals as a safer method of looking inside one's body to discover potential problems? This could also do great things for driverless cars (as much as I hate them lol), etc.

That's pretty cool, but they still are cheating to see the light move (not that they can't cheat anyways, it's literally a requirement by definition.)

I don't quite have the need for speed.

Article is last week but news is from 2012 and video from 2013

Ah, I see. My apologies.

The news is too old to be in news section

Youve spammed news articles that are even older, way older... I wouldnt be calling this guy out on his 1 week old article, let alone this is actually something cool which isnt something we can say about most of the "news" you post.

This isn't really new. The article might be new, but it's not Tech News universally. Locked.
