How did you find LinusTechTips?

cortexcortex

So... basically as the title says; how did you come across a video of Linus for the first time?

Should be a fun thread! (NOTE: I have not seen any like it, forgive me if I'm wrong!)

Me, personally, as far as I remember I was just looking for "extreme cinebench" or something like that, came across Linus and then started watching more vids, subscribed, more vids & now I'm here!

The first CPU I ever bought was a AMD Phenom II 965. I was looking on YouTube for reviews on it and found him doing an unboxing. I dont remember if he did an actual review on it but after the unboxing video I was a sub.

I found myself watching basically the first episode that Linus ever made, the Firetruck video review. I am not saying this because I want to make myself sound like an OG- but I really did. I find Linus being a very well maintained, professionally in front of the camera. Sure, things go wrong and no one can help it stop, however, I feel like people who have just recently found Linus or at least for a while, seem to forget where he is mentally and reality wise. He is becoming a huge business entrepreneur, more than before and his genuine skill set will only make him grow to become a bigger, better and more efficient content producer. And with all the hiccups encountered along the way, it seems like he gets unnecessary flame for it.

I have been with Linus for years, and I will continue to only support for more. I know my account is newly created, but to be honest I didn't see a point at first coming to the forums, but now that I have been here for a bit, this online community feels very welcoming and professional. Much like how Linus really is on the camera- he is very good at inviting everyone to come and play. Big or small, blue or orange... we're all here to see the awesome content that LTT (all the team) continues to produce for our viewing pleasures.

When I was done with my craptop( i7 laptop with integrated hd4000 graphics) and looking to buy a new computer then I ran into cyberpower and was thinking to buy one then I searched up a case from there before buying a prebuilt pc, and I ran into pcpartpickerr which made me realize I can just build myself another pc again.... totally forgot you could do that yet again first time I built one I was really young in elementary school.  then I was on pcpp and I looked up more stuff about cases and the one I liked and linus happened to have a video of just about every case out there as well as mouse..... keyboard..... how to build a pc... what monitor.... what cooler..... yea.....

then I saw there was a forum and I left the overclock.net and hard forum for this one :D this one was less hostile btw except for the random flamewars here and there

all I gotta say ati was the best company, ati in there prime was better than amd intel or nvidia in there prime years, now its just all lame crap... and all the fun is getting taken away :/
