Does Daft Punk count as a band? Or just a duo?

Otherwise Gorillaz

The 5GHz band. I know it's limited in range, but the power is amazing.

If I can only pick one, it's probably Dying Fetus. They are one of the only bands I keep returning to.

But in reality there is way too many good bands to pick just one.

How so? Rap is an extremely diverse genre of music, just like rock, metal, soul, RnB etc. is.

There are so many different sub-genres, that I don't think anyone can realistically listen to everything rap has to offer.

I'm talking bout the stuff most of today's kids listen to, like the rap that influences kids to do drugs and think that life is like gta or somethin

Why is it that everytime a song is perceived to have a negative message, it's a powerful tool of societal destruction, but when a song has a positive message, it's barely registers on the radar of most people? If a song contains a message, shouldn't it be accepted the same manner whether it is negative or not?

People are giving the youth way to little credit. I hate to use a cliché, but the kids are going to be alright.

When Tyler, the Creator released

there was no statistical increase in people killed, shit burned nor in schools fucked.

And there wasn't any increase in satanic masses when Coven released

.

Neither did we see in increase in Venus sending girls to boring guys after Frankie Avalon released

.

When rappers tell stories about doing drugs, partying, and killing people, it's just that, it's a story.

I bet most people, both young and old, will be able to distinguish between real life and fantasy. And even if it was a real story, most people can judge between right and wrong.

And believe me, if people followed the message in songs, the death metal underground would die out in a generation.

To get back on topic,

is another great band.

-list-

Do you know how to count? He said BAND not a list and certainly not put a fucking bunch of videos to slow down the thread to a crawl.

Also your "favorite band" is not an objective truth just say your favorite band right now, i.e. Nile for me. I don't need to give you a list or a long answer on how no band is perfect or there are too many, just whatever you like the most at this point in time.

Yesh.

Jesus, calm down. Some people have more than one favourite band. As I cant decide, I have a top ten. Not to mention, some people are too lazy to search the bands, so linked them here. I should have put them into spoilers, granted, but don't blow your load.
