Why would they sell a case with no functional fans?

The ones that came with the Air 540 arent bad in terms of airflow and stuff, it gets the job done, but not nearly as well as aftermarket fans

No theyre really not all that great, none of Corsair's fans are all that great.

Im gonna get Noctua's once the Linus Edition fans come along

Im gonna get Noctua's once the Linus Edition fans come along

but they probably get some air going right? I know corsairs arent know for silence (ive got 2 sp120's and they almost never go over 65% due to noise) but mine move a decent amount of air even when turned down.  

I wish I could afford some linus noctua's (ill probably just buy some anyways even though I dont need them)

For me it's my CPU cooler, it's some crappy cooler. I certaintly doesn't live up to the titan name, a name in which you expect great performance.

What part/component in your PC is loudest? I would love to have a silent PC but I can't afford it. 

my nf-f12's, and the 140mm equivalent @~900rpm, followed bt my strix 970 @0 Degrees Kelvinrpm.

My 2xAF120s which ramp up to 80% (1500RPM+) when my CPU hits 70DegC (Folding temps) and drops back down to about 40% on idle.

My reference gtx 770 when it's under load, otherwise my CPU cooler. Boy I can't wait to get hold of a better heatsink later in the year.

My stock case fans are annoying me, and sometimes there is the odd vibration from the PC - probably hard drive.

That thing. It's SO LOUD.

Especially the middle fan. If the fan speed is between 30 and 52%, it just make this little annoying sound kind of like snoring, because it spins up, then slows down immediately, then speeds up again.. slows down... again and again and again... Ugh. Only the middle fan, the other 2 work just fine (still a bit loud, but not annoyingly loud like the middle fan)

So for now, I ordered a new fan to replace it, for $10 on ebay. (3pin, should be the right model... I think)

 

If that doesn't work, I'm hoping this thing would fit on it. I had one on my old 5870 and it was dead silent, no matter the load, and much cooler(temperature), than the stock cooler.
