What kind of Camera do you use?

My everyday camera is my Fuji x100. Never leaves my bag. For anything where I may need access to a lens longer than 35mm  or for non street photography, I use my Canon 60D.

Current is a 500D (T1i) I bought new in 2008, use kit 18-55 and a 50mm f1.4

For video it crashes, a lot...

If I had the money id go a GH4 definitely, but I don't so... I won't...

I have a Canon 550D, purchased new in 2010/2011. Works great for photos and alot of video work, but lacks the connections I want to use.

So I bought a Blackmagic URSA about a month ago, and it's currently in shipping hell, apparently I will get it this Friday, but I've been told that the last 2 weeks, so who knows.

EDIT: Received the shipping notice 30 seconds after posting this!

I currently run with a T3i because it's all I can afford.

However, I'm generally sticking away from mirrorless for the time being. If I got another cam, I'd want it to be compatible with everything I already have.

I currently own a Nikon D60 with a few lenses. :D

I didn't ask what it was designed to do, I asked what it was capable of doing.

I guess I started this topic without actually saying what I have (and what i want :D ).

I'm currently using a Sony A33 with a bag full of Minolta Glass including:

-Minolta 50mm F1.7

-Minolta 28-135mm F4-F4.5

-Minolta 70-210mm F4

-Kit lens that I never use

I'd give it all up to get started with a Sony a7 II or a7R II. Maybe someday when I can afford it :)

Currently shooting dslr with a 1200D

If i would get something new it probably would be a DSLR and a mirrorless for the easier carry around on short trips.

Altough so far i know there is no decent brand that sells good mirrorless AND dslr's sadly

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

I currently have a canon t5im as my main digital camera. I plan on moving to a mirrorless system though as you simply get more for your money. Take the sony a7r II for example. It does everything well.

You should include types for video cameras as well. But interesting results as it is.

I shoot both a Nikon d610 and a fuji x100t depending on the situation. I have a blackmagic pocket camera for video.

If I were to buy something new, I really like the Sony lineup.

I think most popular video cameras would just fall under mirrorless system. Buy you are right, I was only thinking about the A7s and GH4 when I made the poll haha :)

The Ursa mini and things like the Sony FS7 would be considered mirrorless systems I think

Sony mirrorless is bae <:

Though nowadays it's more like pick a good sensor, and save up for good glass.

Rocking the Canon 70D and will continue to live in the Canon system due to cheap lenses. I'd also like to get a cine camera one day and the two major mounts in that market are the EF and PL mount. PL lenses are ridiculously expensive so I decided it be best to accumulate a collection of Canon photo lenses to someday use on a cine camera.

Recently bought my first DSLR, it's a Nikon D5200 with 18-55 Kitlens (VRII). Before that I was using my HTC One M8. Would love to get a GoPro at some point in time, especially once I get a motorcycle again.

Currently really happy with the D5200 though, love the flip-out screen (the reason why I bought that over the D3300) and it shoots amazing photo's. Only thing I am missing is a little more range on the lens. Sometimes you just want to shoot a little further away and need some decent zoom, and the kit-lens only goes up to 55mm. So that's kind of a shame but besides a little range, I can not complain at all. It's a great system and definitly worth the money.

I use a older Sony alpha 390 its fairly old now but I don't take photos very often anymore. I wouldn't mind getting something updated and almost did last year but couldn't justify the price for the use. I actually like photography on the whole and when I want to can actually take a pretty good photo and can do a bit of manipulation and the like.

Apart from that I use a go pro hero 4 black and silver and play around with video after use.

Ever since I was a kid I have wanted to do some photography using a telescope. So one day I'll get my self one and a mount to have a good stab at it

Most of my stuff is currently shot on my Nikon D7100.

If I had to do it again I still think I would have gone for the DSLR route; the ergonomics of mirror-less cameras can go from great (with a small lens) to "Oh my god this thing is horrible" (with something like a 70-200).

Hmm I dunno my A7 with a 70-200 is really manageable and I have tiny hands, I struggle holding a D800 for example

and most mirrorless cameras lenses are smaller (for example the FE lenses for Sony are way smaller than the A mount ones)
