My grandpa pays $70 for this crap. He even knows it's the biggest rip off ever. We got the past 2 months free because it's been so bad lately and we finally told them we are switching to time warner for 50 down and like 5 up for $60. I was sitting 3 feet from the modem when I did this. We tried using another modem to... Btw we are suppose to only get 3 down... $70 haha

At least you CAN switch to 50 down, I'm stuck at 10 unless I move to a new house, regardless which carrier I choose.

how long did it take you to post this thread.

I get like 25 Up and 10 down. Its that new ADSL thing, or whatever it's called. I think it uses Fiber lines on main streets. I pay like 60 dollars and it's unlimited, and it has good ping. Can't complain. At least it's not Rogers. I have Bell.

Our fiber optic backbone from my university which leads directly into Microsoft and google will actually peg out the 1,000 GBps switch ports at the data center. No, I did not stutter, that is 1,000 GIGA BIT per SECOND.

 

You ever seen a few Terabytes worth of finacial data transfer so fast the windows file transfer pop up screen will actually lock up?
