Backplate adds cost and they knew people would be jumping all over this card anyway so they were smart and didn't give a **** about putting one on. More profit this way.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

the reason theres no back plate is because its an addon dlc exclusive for only $129.99 MSRP

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

Hhmmm.. I think we deserve backplate for $650 anyway. And i'm sure $650 isn't cheap for many people here. And also for me.

Is there anyone whi agree with me that production cost of backplate isn't that expensive. I'm sure they only need $5 - $10 for one backplate to massproduce it.

I don't disagree with your sentiment, but if we are talking about aesthetic, it doesn't really bother me. They are probably just going to leave it up to their hardware partners.

Get a 980 TI with an aftermarket cooler? Looking at a picture of the SC+ from EVGA right now and it looks like it has a backplate.
