Hyper 212x

reapplied, remounted, used different mobo, even borrowed a Intel stock cooler to test

 

only option is to delid now

I'm not familiar with that cooler but I assume it's much better than a stock cooler.  How in the world is your CPU getting so hot with a better than stock cooler on it?  O_o

 

I'd say your only option is to get a better CPU.  It's a CPU it's not supposed to be hot enough to cook on.  lol

 

Wait, If you have it OC'd here's a smart idea: lower the oc..  Whatever performance you're getting cant be worth baking your CPU.  That has to be damaging it right?

theres no overclock, stock everything. Trying to make it last until intels next next next took (10mm, third tock)

auto voltage. Hovers around 1.1v load 

hyper 212x = better hyper 212 evo

I was on OPMines 3.1 and someone donated his entire rent money on a server. It was like 60 lines of stuff.

Sounds like your 212 is broke, if you get cooler on your stock cooler...

I checked and a 3770K has a base of 3.5GHz and a max turbo boost to 3.9GHz.  If you have it at 4.5GHz that's not stock speed..

I saved 3 months or so of change to get a devastator 2 keyboard.
