Sorry.  I ummm..  haven't had a job while I've been in college.  So I'm a little foggy on things like overtime.  Though in this case what I meant to ask was were you getting overtime pay because you were working extra time each day you worked this week or because you worked an extra day or both?

How overtime works varies by regional laws, but here in Ontario it's any work I do after 44hrs in a week.  So, since I'm working 12hrs per day, sometimes six days a week, I hit 44hrs late afternoon on Thursday and any work after that is paid at 1.5x.  it doesn't matter what days I work, it's how many hours.

 

In contrast, in the state of California where many of my co-workers came from, overtime happened for any work done beyond 8hrs on a given day.  Also double overtime happens if you work more than 12hrs.  Plus some other regulations.

Well yes, but the stupid greenies who bought prius' want the Carbon footprint produced by powering their car to be below a top of a line sports Commodore or Falcon :P.

 

Victoria is very much mostly powered by brown coal power stations, Hazelwood (The power station that is being closed this year) makes over 22% of the states power. I really don't understand how they can stop a power station that produces 22% of the states power and replace it with nothing, next summer may not be fun...

Maybe they can still produce enough power using other existing power stations?

 

It could be that there's more stations than are actually needed.

 

Or they could be planning a replacement of some sort but haven't said anything yet.  

 

I'm sure they wouldn't just get rid of a power station if there wouldn't be enough power after that.

@hey_yo_ Look what I just got.  ?

 

I got a 20,000 mAh Anker battery pack, a 24 watt AC wall brick for it, and one of their 3 feet long Powercore+ USB to micro-USB cables.

 

I wanted a larger battery pack than the others I already had.  Unlike the smaller ones I have this 20,000 mAh battery will be able to charge my iPad Air not only completely once but I think 2 times or possibly a little more.  

 

The really cool thing about this new battery is it has dual charge input ports so unlike my smaller batteries that can only charge at 5V and 1-2 amps this 20,000 mAh battery can charge at a combined rate of 4 amps.  2 amps from each input port.  

 

The 24W brick will let me plug both charge cables into a single brick that will only use one AC outlet.  

 

I didnt know that the battery would come with 2 cables for charging so that's why I got the cable too.  Though the Powercore+ cable is longer and nicer quality than the included ones so I might get a second cable to use with the battery and save the lesser quality cables it came with as spares.

Yes, I've only been able to use iOS, but I really don't talk shit about Android (and Windows Phone) because I've never had a fair chance to use it.

I've used both. TBH I don't see advantage of android or ios that would be a total deal breaker for me. The only thing is price. Other than that if I were to choose I would not know what to go for

I once hated Android especially with Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz interface that severely bogged down Android Jelly Bean with my old GN2. Samsung back then loves to cram in beta features that nobody uses like Smart Stay, Smart Scroll, S Voice, palm swipe to screenshot, etc.

OPPO's ColorOS has some really nice features about it, it has a lot of camera control options, gesture support and requiring your unlock key to access certain apps, but it is also very bad in a lot of ways, it has a very iOS like theme, it even has "slide to shut down", so it has removed all of the good features in the power off menu, the camera app sometimes doesn't save images and AFI can tell, you cannot turn the phone onto silent, just ring or vibrate. I really need to root this phone (shove my dick so far in that USB port... what?), but I have just been too lazy.
