I bought an Asus Eee PC back when netbooks were all the craze... but I didn't get the good version... I bought the one with an 8 gig SSD, 1 gig of ram, and the 7 inch screen... it worked for exactly what I neededwheni was in college. However, after a few months of using it I became very quickly disappointed and ended up buying something else in the end that worked a hell of a lot better and got me through the rest of college.

Trying to fix my first laptop with a loose GPU connection with an excited dog in the room. Dog crashes into me while im holding a screwdriver, bye bye very small but important resistor.

Thank goodness it was from a scrap heap and about to die anyway.

I think possibly the worst mistake I made was buying my first PC. I originally bought it for £50 from a friend without even asking for the specs. I ended up with a Pentium E2140, 2GB of RAM and an HD 4550 1GB. At that time I thought I was invincible until I realised it could barely play Minecraft at low settings xD I then learnt how to build PC's properly until I felt confident to build my first PC, which so happens to be the PC I am writing this on.

Also I have to mention:

- Always make sure you check which BIOS version your motherboard is running BEFORE you buy the CPU, otherwise the system will not boot lmao

- Another thing I failed on doing.... Always check the height of your CPU cooler and case depth at the same time... Otherwise you go for months without a side panel hahaha xD

My Rig:

Xeon E5 1680 V2 @ 4.5GHz - Asus Rampage IV Extreme X79 Mobo - 64GB DDR3 1600MHz - 8 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance Low Profile - CAS 10-10-10-27 - AMD Radeon RX 6700XT Sapphire Pulse 12GB - DeepCool E-Shield E-ATX Tempered Glass Case - 1 x 1TB Crucial P1 NVMe SSD - BeQuiet Straight Power 11 850W Gold+ Quad rail - Fractal Design Celsius S36 & 6 x 120mm silent fans - Lenovo KBBH21 - Corsair Glaive RGB Pro - Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit

Monitors - 3 x Acer Nitro 23.8" 1080p 75Hz IPS 1ms Freesync Panels = AMD Eyefinity @ 75Hz

Trying to move some pictures from my phone to my computer, but failing to realise that some of the new pictures had the same names as ones that were on my PC already. Clicked replace on the Windows dialogue thing that pops up when it detects you are transferring copies of pictures and my old pictures were never seen again.

One would be buying a liquid cooler instead of an air cooler. I over paid for my not so great Corsair H60 and wish I got an air cooler instead.

My soon to be upgraded A4-7300, worst purchase my Dad had to pay for. I honestly feel shitty for it, so shitty I'm afraid of asking for money for the upgrade I'm planning.

I also bought a cheap Arnova Android tablet that is now collecting dust somewhere in my room (not sure where). I also bought a Wiko Wax around 4 years ago, which was super slow even though it's still the only Android phone having an NVidia CPU to date. Many games on my Steam library too, even though I like to think that I will play them at some point. I also rented the last Xmen movie on Google Play Movies but never watched it until the date expired....

I bought a kindle fire back in 2011, that was probably the biggest tech-purchase mistake I've ever made.

An Asus Xonar soundcard, didn't  know that the gfx would cover up the slot so I got stuck with it. Still got it sitting in a box somewhere because no one wants to buy it. Had it listed for years.

What's wrong with a kindle fire?  I got one each for my friend and I that we each use very nice ebook readers.

Not so much that I bought a evo 212 to replace the stock Intel cooler. But I bought it to solve a noise issue only to find out a week later it was the case that was vibrating...
