Goddammit. Only a month ago I bought my Pebble Steel. But to be fair, this design looks childish and 64 colours really isn't that impressive. We'll see if it delivers but I'm not too excited. Also, holy shit already 7.6 mil.

If it was the pebble steel + a color screen that would be awesome, but the new design looks a bit toyish, but maybe they are doing what they did with the original pebble and will have a pebble steel color soon? :)

 

It's already using a Gorilla Glass screen and a stainless steel body.

 

Not sure what else can be done

This is the first smartwatch that screams "I must have this" to me. I can live with the lack of a touchscreen (which would probably get old) for the 7 day battery life. And FINALLY, the people who are smart and realize most people don't want apps on their wrist made a color watch! :D

Only works with the iPhone 4s and above, too bad I still have the 4....... I have to wait for the Apple Watch though, IDK which one I would rather have, but this looks a lot more practical.

Apple Watch works with iPhone 5 or higher.

Having only bought my Pebble around a month or so ago, I won't be upgrading despite how nice the new one looks. I am very excited to hear that the new timeline UI will be coming to the original Pebble and the Steel though! Makes me not as upset about purchasing right before a new version.

Right? Pebble is pretty much my favorite company right now; I can't think of one time I felt even a little upset about anything they've done. Hopefully this lasts...

Subjective, I think it looks great. For instance, I think the watch @Victorious Secret posted a photo of looks hideous, though I'm sure he and many other watch aficionados love the look of it, and I have no problem with that.

I'm not sure why they are kickstarting this. They don't need to at all. They don't even list a single reason why it needs to be on kickstarter.

 

 

 

IMO they did it through kickstarter for one of three reasons: 

  1. So they can start mass producing watches and be able to fullfill all orders promptly (why didn't OPO go through kickstarter...).
  2. To encourage others to make a kickstarter project. 
  3. To support/thank Kickstarter.

It will have another new charging cable so Linus can have fun complaining about that again :P. I'm really excited for this; I was going to get an original pebble on Black Friday but decided I wanted to wait for whatever the next pebble would be.

Extremely subjective, I don't think the black model would look out of place in a work environment, and if you're buying a white or red watch you're already planning on wearing it as fashion.

I get paid in 5 hours. i always said I'd replace my Sony Smartwatch2 when Pebbles were slimmer and wider in the screen, colour is just a bonus.

Also a proud owner of a Sony LiveView and Sony Smartwatch, the Smartwatch3 was a disappointment.
