[LTT video idea] Behind the Scenes - The production of a LTT video

MrSuperb

A video about making videos.

After watching the last WAN show and hearing Linus rambling about how long it takes to shoot B-Roll, I wonder if you guys would be interested in a video (series) about producing a LTT video?

e.g.

Part 1) selecting a product for review

Part 2) writing a script / preparation

Part 3) filming

Part 4) editing (Edzel/Brandon could lead through their standard editing steps)

Part 5) etc ...

I would love this, i'v been wanting one for ages!

A great way to not inly help us grasp the work that goes in but also nice to see how the whole system works and meet the members of the team :)

I'd love a good documentary style video maybe 2x30 mins or 3x20 :)

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?

It's something wed love to do. It's literally been on my production calendar for months...

The issue is that it would be very time consuming and possibly even a little boring to watxh since most of it is just sitting and write or sitting in front of premiere :P

Well, maybe part of the video could be watching Edzel remove/edit all the boring parts ^.^, would be good if you guys did something like this; even if it was not the entire process.

I would personally love to see this, I would actually be interested in the editing that is done for the videos such as in premiere, as it's something I'm a bit interested in.

Just fix some cameras in the office and do some timelapses. then add some commentary :P

or collect questions people have here on the forum about the whole process and make some kinda interviews with your employees (if they are cool with it)

Well, you could do something like have either the person doing the work talking about their process, eg. you talking about the general points you try to hit and the rough format you have when writing a script, or you could have a voice over with b-roll of said person working, eg. Edzel doing a voice over of his rough editing process with b-roll since editing and explaining everything at the same time could be annoying and distracting.

Then again, a complete timelapse could also be cool. Having a combination of camera footage and screen recording all cut together.
