after seeing the preformens of a 960 i am really happy with my r9 285 also i just won a bet with my friends they sayed it was stupid not to wait on the 960 and the 960 would win all benchmarks with at leest 10% over the 285

I kind of agree.

The reviews say that for themselves (comparing with a 280X).

Though, in some games, the 960 OCed beats the 280X and in others, the 280X beats the 960...

Nvidia has Shadowplay that new thing that lets you have the GPU outputting 4k video with a 1080p (correct me if it isn't like this or if I'm wrong) and G-Sync. On the other hand, AMD has Mantle and Freesync...

IDK... It depends on the games you play, on your PC and on your wallet ;)

Shadowplay is a gameplay recorder that doesn't decrease ingame performance by relying on a h264 encoder on the card itself rather than just software (like fraps)

I know, but it still is a Nvidia exclusive feature ;)

Actually, AMD implemented it for it's R9 Series, it's called GameDVR.

To copy something I just saw on anandtech:

So that third GB can matter a lot at 1080p.

Ouch thats rough , this card is kinda disapoinnting.

That 128 bit memory bus is horrendeuous as well.

The 280 is definitely better for me since it costs 190eur and the 960 260eur. Tho prices will drop and only in about 3 months it will reach 200eur

Longboarders/ skaters message me!

Even at the same price i think the 280 is better , similar performance 384 bit memory bus and a hole gig more of vram

I think $200-$240 is a lot of money, and if I'm spending that much, I want a card good for 2-3 years. Which is why I cannot understand the 960 at all. If I buy a card for $100-$150 I know I'm not getting a long lifetime out of it, but for $200+ it's important.

Wow, 2GB cards really cannot stand up to modern games. Good thing to keep in mind while shopping for cards.

If you get easily offended by people on the Internet there is something really wrong with you. You focus on the opinions of a few people instead of worrying about why you have a terrible taste in video games.
