I've heard there are better programs than VLC right now. What media player do you think is "THE" media player right now? :)

I always use and used cccp with wmphc.

But I have VLC for streams and backup (don't need it as backup tho).

I think I could go using MPC HC again, but the configuring to get it act like VLC would be too much.

Mine works great from the get go.

Its an extremely lightweight video player and I love it <3

My problems were that it wouldn't keep window size same when new file started to play with different or same scale. And that it didn't remember folder where I last was.

I used VLC for a while, but ran into some problems with audio on a few of my Blu-Ray rips (all legitimate, no need for accusations).  99+% of my rips were perfect, but some didn't have sound despite using the same settings throughout.

Apparently some videos have aac formats that just don't want to work with VLC.

Switched to Jetaudio with K-lite codec pack and haven't looked back.  The popup ads in the free version may be annoying, but it just works perfectly every time and has all the functionality I need.
