I don't know how many of you have already seen this, but this ABC Nightline report went online a few days ago:

 

 

It must be one of the most dishonest, one-sided and malicious pieces of propaganda I've ever seen. The cherry picking, the lies, the way they take Sarkeesian and Wu by their word without questioning a single thing... well, I honestly find it absolutely infuriating. These people are professional victims and will forever change the gaming industry in a very bad way, if they're not stopped.

 

I'm not against gender equality, but I think at this point its quite obvious that Sarkeesian doesn't give a flying f*ck about that anyway. She's here to be a professional victim and make money, and the media is eating it up.

 

What are your thoughts on this?

I stopped caring once I saw how one-sided the media has been.

 

 

Let this woman lose relevancy. Don't pay her any mind. Do this, and she will truly not matter.

This is gross though. Not only is this 99.9% BS, but media loves to paint 'gamers' as greasy men in their basements who never leave the house. I'm sick of it. Games have become a modern art form, and are treated as a type of villainy where anyone who participated them love to kill and sexualize women. Maybe if AAA developers didn't keep pumping out Call of Duty ever year, then we would see a bit more of what games can be other than pointless shooters.

FOR ONE, Tomb Raider was one of the best examples of a powerful female heroine, so why is she even using that for her footage? And in her Watch_Dogs example, men and women both are victims of crimes that you can stop.

 

There certainly is a male-focused gaming landscape, but she's perpetrating horrendous stereotypes and trying to get people to rally against gamers, as if we're some race of misogamists who love to run women over. It's like the assholes who blamed all Muslims for 9/11. We cannot categorize one group of people because of the actions of a very specific few within that group.
