Anyways, maybe try to get her to a pet store and let her ease into it.

Let her meet some cats and see that they aren't dangerous, or make her read up on them.

The more you know the less you are afraid of stuff, usually.

Trust me they are awesome in many ways but they shed all over and are great at ruining furniture.  They also do like to eat electrical cords.  I really wanted to get a cat but every single time I thought of the negatives they definitely outweighed the positives.

Mine don't.... They only really shed on the floor which is tile so it's an easy cleanup and they never eat cords.

It won't make people sick unless they are allergic or perhaps have asthma.

 

It will be some fur but not as much, it's only 1 cat ..

If you get a older cat that are much more chill i have some that cats that are about 10 years old had them for 5 years and never had that problem.

A short hair or shouldn't shed everywhere. They also don't make people sick. They're also inside toys, as outdoor cats can indeed track home disease.

My cat sheds a LOT, and it's still only moderate amount more than my wife does. A cat that doesn't shed a lot should hardly be noticeable if you have at least one woman in the house with long hair.
