Get them into a game, and let them see how unenjoyable it is?

I'm assuming if he's asking this question -- he may even be too young for a job.

People, understand that parents don't want their kids to be throwing money around here and there for some game they like to play. It just doesn't seem logical to them.

Not that simple by the sounds of it the OP still lives with his parents and are controlled by them.

Unless the OP is like 14, there's no reason not to. What parent is going to hold their child inside of their home and not let them get a job?

1. Get a job.

2. Go to the store.

3. Buy one

This. Just...this^ 100%. Only excuse is if you are not old enough, only excuse.

Well unless it is THEIR money, why not? If it is money you got from other means, working, birthday cash, etc. Then why wouldn't you be able to spend it on something YOU want? If they don't want you spending all your time inside, maybe you need to make a balance of both? (it will be good for you anyways...if they are saying that you probably currently spend too much time playing)

Tell him that if the "outside" ran at 5 FPS, then it would also be unendurable.

If their knowledge of computers is limited lie that with a graphics card you could code which would look great on a resume. Parents love to hear about something that could make their child successful in life!

I dont think you understood what op is saying he has the money that he likely earned but they wont let him buy what he wants.

I was clarifying, if it was the parents money I could understand. But it's his money. Most likely the OP spends too much inside playing video games, they want him to explore other things instead of doing that all day. They probably won't let him do it until he learns to balance out his activities, otherwise I can't see why they wouldn't let him spend his birthday/xmas cash.
