Posted December 29, 2014 This will be my third watercooled build and I, for once, won't be starting from scratch! My first watercooled PC log can be found here and I recommend you have read through it as I will be using many of the parts from that PC as base for this new build, hence the "reincarnate" tag. My second build, where I developed some of my techniques further, can be found here. This was a larger case and as such, a larger project that has now been completed. But I want more. Traditionally I've named my PCs after snakes, but I'd like to expand that naming convention to include all animals (I studied zoology at university, so I'm a bit of a nerd for creatures). Because of this decision, I opted to name this build Vulpes vulpes, or simply Vulpes; more commonly known as the Red fox. This should give you a reasonable hint at the colour scheme, noise goals, performance and size of the build but there is still ample room to improvise within the theme parameters. I've found a couple of logos online that I really like but they are quite different. One is sleek and elegant, the other is edgy and aggressive. Let me know which you prefer or feel free to share any others you find! Can't wait to get this build underway, really take my time and make it perfect! I'll be contacting the case designers in the NY and present both logos and ask for their professional opinion but I agree that the grey one would look great. At first I was hoping that one sketch was the clear favourite, but now I realise that people like them both, so it's a win win! Or everyone hates them equally.... Posted December 31, 2014 I think it would be really cool if you incorporated them both into a grey/red build, or make the case split somehow into red and grey... It's incredibly awesome and encouraging that you are willing to take time out of your schedule to help out with my build. I'd like to announce that I've officially purchased the case, custom modifications and all, and I'll be divulging the nitty gritty hopefully sooner, rather than later. One thing I am willing to let slip is that the official colour scheme will be white, orange and black. So while I truly am infinitesimally grateful for your red/grey custom combinations, that particular colour scheme won't make it to the final build. The logo itself, and the fusion of colours is still not 100% confirmed, so I''m really thankful the LTT Forums gave me, and the case manufacturer (soon TBA) some additional things to consider. Happy New Year, one and all! p.s I managed to scribe that post completely hammered. ++ rep for minimal typos!
