Are we finally seeing a game that will possibly push PC Hardware to its current max? Or is this just another instance of ridiculous spec requirements being listed to make it seem like the game will look that good. Even the Minimum asks for a 670 and 7870.

Worth Noting: Minimum requirements for a processor are basically a 2500k and an 8320.

Additional Note:

First 15 minute gameplay video (watch in 1080p):

Do the spec requirements live up to the hype?

The jump from a 670 right to a 980 seems like a massive gap.

Since when was a 7870 equivalent to a GTX 670? I don't believe a current game will need 16GB of RAM. I've yet to see any of my games go over 6GB. ARMA 3 was the culprit that time.

Yeah 670 is more on par with a 7950 not a 7870

I have used over 16 GB of ram on my PC before, with out using a ram disk or rendering anything. I was doing some heavy multitasking. the 780/290 does not seem crazy to me.

16gb ram? I have that, and I highly doubt it will use more than 5 GB. Nevertheless since my browser already uses 12gb I might need to upgrade to 24gb

I'd say Alien Isolation is not the best graphically, but it did have that next gen feel of being polished, not many squares and stuff. But it had the advantage of not having grass anywhere.

I personally would say that Crysis 3, Metro Last Light and Alien Isolation are tied.

First time I'm seeing the game and it looks amazing.  I'm very excited for it!

The only real spec that confuses me is the 16GB of RAM, that just seems ridiculous.  Everything else makes sense from my perspective.

The game looks nice, but the climbing and parkour seems super clunky.  Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.. I just don't like spending/wasting so much time on climbing animations.  Climbing is an integral part of the game, that much is clear, but I don't want to be spending 2 seconds every time I need to climb something.  Speed up the animation or something please!

I would agree with Metro last light, such a beautiful game.

Actually it's 670/7970 and 680/7970GHz which makes those specs even more stupid.

When the 670 was released, it was meant to compete with the 7950. The 680 was meant to compete with the 7970:

They trade blows with each other depending on the game and scenario
