Now that the game is out in the wild, we have got our hands on leaked screenshots of the game directly from the PS4. A curious look at the screenshots confirm sub-1080p resolution (likely 900p). Looking at the image quality, it appears to be operating below 1080p. Ubisoft has already announced the console resolution to be 900p, and sure enough, a quick pixel count reveals a native resolution of ~1600×900.

That sucks, i would rather play AC at a lower frame-rate than resolution

Yeah if they atleast put it up to 1080p I probably would of picked it up for the PS4 regardless of frame rate.

Why in the world would you want that? A better frame rate provides a better gameplay experience. Given the choice I'd take 720p at 60FPS over 1080p at 30FPS any day of the week.

OMG, where has the world come to? EA being praised for making good PC ports, Ubisoft thinking about an excavation career, what's next Steam to go console-exclusive (omg that'd be some scary shit)?

because its not a competitive game, in a game like battlefield i would 100% agree with you. I don't know if you are a fan of AC but the graphics are a big part of the experience

I've played all the AC games and I'd still pick frame rate over resolution. When I had a 1440p monitor I ran a lot of games at 1920x1080 in order to keep the frame rate where I liked it. If it's mostly stable at 30 on consoles it's not that bad, but the problem with 30fps is that little drops in frame rate have a much bigger impact than they do at 60 and I haven't seen many current gen console titles capable of keeping the resolution from having significant dips.
