Free Internet. This one is a no brainer, the Internet helps bring more knowledge, education, news, and entertainment to everybody. Why wouldn't we want a well educated society that can pull up data or information on anything needed? Again, this isn't currently technically feasible because of the issue of $$$$$.

first/second hand proof:

2 of my friends smoked weed, one of them got very paranoid and could not focus at all, they were walking together. One of them stopped while the other kept on going without realizing that his friend stopped.  He also thought every beep from a car was his mom/dad and got very scared that he was going to get caught.

 

He also said he was never never going to do it again, he did it like 5 more times, the first time claiming it was very bad, how it fucks up your brain, the 4th and 5th time claiming it was just for recreational use.

Your friend probably had a addictive personality, weed cannabis enhances that.

Also he probably wasn't in a good environment, with good friends.

Pretty much anything that allows us to travel through space efficiently enough and cost-effective enough to allow us to start colonizing, or at the very least, exploring other planets. It most likely won't happen in my lifetime, but it would be a very interesting moment regardless.
