I bought mine because it was on sale and offered me the greatest value at the lowest cost.  And I've been happier with it then any other SDD I have, truth be told.

I bought mine because well I'll admit it I bought into the reliability thing. But I did not pay any more for it. In fact I have not seen the Intel 530 120GB SSD on sale for what I paid in quite some time here in Canada. I paid $90 in October of 2013 so it was a decent deal for what was marketed as a "better" ssd. And well I figured the difference in speed probably isn't that great of a loss.

Intel SSDs are pretty much pointless to buy, since they pretty much lost interest in making consumer grade ssds. There are other manufactures, that offer much better pricing (mx100), performance (850pro) or something in the middle (evos, sandisks, ocz).

It's really no point in buying one, unless you're a diehard intel fan or don't know better.

Well, to be honest bro, Sandforce ˇˇ doesn't really scream for reliability. Intel badge on it doesn't chage that fact (yes, i've got an intel drive aswell).

Still they are one of the most reliable drives...

Intel is a good company, and I like having as many parts possible from the same company

Ex: Samsung SSD and CD drive, Intel processor and SSD, Corsair PSU, RAM, Case, Asus Mobo and Monitor
