Posted August 4, 2014 Popular Post The All-Powerful GTX 465s Have Arrived! My GTX 465's story began fours short years ago when it rolled off the assembly line. Over the past four years I have gained an appreciation/obsession for the 465. It has found its way into everyone of my past and current systems. It has survived PSU meltdowns, overheating, and faulty motherboards. My 465 has been able to handle everything I throw at it (aside from minesweeper) with a fiery passion. I am attached to my 465 and all of its GF100 goodness. But earlier this year I felt it was time for an upgrade. I asked the forum and what to do and nearly everyone said that I should buy a newer card. I took their advise and I purchased an MSI GTX 770. I used the 770 for nearly three months, but I just wasn't happy with it. It performed too well. It was too quiet. It was too cool. It was too power efficient. It couldn't overclock. I hated it. I was fed up with it. At the end of June I gave it to one of my friends and I put my 465 back in my system. I decided that I needed to do something out of the the ordinary. @Lord Pantaloons and @xTrekStorex inspired me to do something different (take a drive off the deep end). I purchased a 3-Way SLI capable motherboard and a 1300W PSU to that could bear the weight of running three overclocked GTX 465s. Next I needed to track down two more 465s to accompany my 465. I had to scour ebay for other a month to find the correct cards. I managed to find two mint condition EVGA GTX 465 Superclocked cards. One with a high-flow bracket. Earlier this morning I found a package on my doorstep containing the final 465. I was taken aback by the beauty that was now contained in my Source 210. My dreams have finally been realized. I replaced the 465s with a GTX 580 at that time and later added a second 580 for 2-way SLI. These are the last photos of the system I have before it was torn down in May 2017. Posted August 4, 2014 It's an NZXT Source 210 Damn it. I was so sure it was the Shinobi...it definitely looks like it from the inside and the front panel from the side (ignoring the black HDD clips though): I thought you just swapped out the front panel for the black version. “The value of a college education is not the learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think”
