Was thinking of getting either a modded HE6 (ohhgourami mod, 6 screws) or a Cayin iDAC6 + iHA6 stack, the former about 900usd while the latter was goin' for about 1000USD. Decided to save myself some cash, and scratching this nasty buying itch at the same time, I got myself a iFi iDSD Micro Black Label...

28ZmXyo.jpg9VQov2m.jpg

Don't be fooled, despite its rather small'ish form factor, it is a very capable DAC with a very powerful amp section....was told it could easily drive the HE6 pretty damn well.

Some accessories that came with the iDSD Micro BL, forgot to include a pouch, headphone adapter  and a couple of rubber bands (for securing a DAP to the iDSD Micro.,,,oh yeah, those four small rubber 'feet' have already been mounted on the DAC.

Thanks, gonna leave it overnight, I'll be running the DAC combo together with the HD6XX to burn-in both of them. Only snag I have with it so far is getting it to run native DSD, playing DSD tracks in PCM mode is a piece of cake on foobar2k, not so for native DSD though. Gonna have to call tech support herefor some guidance. There's an 'XBass' switch, turn it on and suddenly my HD800 (SDR mod) sounds a tad better with the added bass.I've had it set at 'Normal' mower mode and don't need to turn volume knob to 11 o'clock for it to be loud enough, there's a 'Turbo' mode but I don't need that much power.

That turbo button is crazy, I have tried it shortly and that button is like unleashing a beast. It is not even funny how much power it has.

Sounds like a awesome setup you recently got,  not that your other gear isn't really awesome xD

I truly hope that you enjoy it.

New motherboard showed up today. ASUS Strix ROG Z270I. Hopefully it has the latest bios so it'll support my Skylake CPU out of the box & I won't need to buy a Kabylake CPU to update the bugger. All up paid just over $200 AUD (about $150 USD) for it which seemed like a bargain since I was going to get the EVGA Z270 Stinger, but this board has 2x M.2 and that appeals to me.

Thanks! The blade and pocket clip are made of Dragon Skin Damascus, the scales are shredded carbon fiber w/ copper flakes, and the bolsters are blackened, hammered zirconium. It was made by a friend of mine named Mike Nguyen.

It's cute. Almost like a goat's kid.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Good for my daily use. Not something I'd use as a survival knife, but certainly slaughters some cardboard and cable. Edge retention is quite good so far.
