phanteks evolv release

bbqsauce

Doesn't look very airflow friendly, as others have said. But it looks like a pretty nice case otherwise.

I like how the side IO is done, Bitfenix could learn something.

Yes, at least the I/O panel doesn't come off with the side panel... The new Deepcool Steam Castle has the same deal-breaking shortcoming.

But it remains a side "front" I/O panel and that's pretty restrictive for some.

Thanks for the picture, they are nice!

O: THE STORE IS IN PJ (Both parents from M'asia, we go back almost every year lol) :D

AUD$133ish brings it around the price of the 350D. This is gonna be a damn hard choice ><

Both have clean looks, but this one aluminium though.. Loved the big white fan ^_^  I live in Johor so might need to ship one here..

The white one you mean?

I think I'll end up with the black case if it turns out to be amazing.

They might want to think about some cutouts for the SSD brackets near the front

So just something I've been thinking about...

This micro ATX Evolv will be TALLER than the upcoming full ATX Source 340... I realize the extra height is for ample radiator space, but it sure would be nice for air-coolers like myself if Phanteks decided to also sell modified frame panels that would allow ATX boards to fit in this case...

Anywho, just wanted to share.

LOG 09-08-2014 12:32

Cold rainy day at the Caribbean, still no official word from Phanteks on a release date... I fear the worst. It has been awhile since the announcement of the marvelous product, and as the time passes I am getting more and more nervous... I fear the worst. In a month I have to order a computer enclosure. While a few months back I was calm and full of hope, now I don't even know if they'll release it in time. I am getting desperate, so desperate I fear the worst...

●CPU: i7-4790K w/H100i ●Mobo: MSI Z97 MPower ●RAM: Corsair 16GB Dominator ●GPU: EVGA ACX SC 780 3GB(X2) ●SSD: 850 Pro 256GB ●Case: 450D ●PSU: AX 860i ●Monitor: Asus PB278Q 1440p

Right there with you buddy I have an M-atx system build in my old atx enclosure, it needs a home and I was planning on the evolv for that.

I heard a rumour a while back that it would be $130US. Bang on. Bit more than some people were hoping, but this is Aluminium (at least partly, I believe Yes it is), and perhaps some "Pro" cheaper versions will come out soon. Cannot wait for the HWC coverage.

Mini XL pricing/release speculation?

I agree, it is "high end" after all so in my opinion it's priced right.
