Alright how about
RWBY- I don't know if it counts as anime but it's on crunchyroll so Imma count it, this is not the best series in the world but it is what the people over at rooster teeth have cooked up and I have to commend them on putting something original together, they deserve some applause so check it out.

White Album 2- I saw music and high school and I was sucked in, this isn't over dramatic teenage angst it's a simple story of 3 teenagers prepping for the school festival where they will play there favorite song, I love music so this was an easy sell for me and I'm also a fan of slice of life.

Might I suggest Eden of the East or Higashi No Eden? It's a short 11 Episode Series with 2 Movies and comes both subbed and dubbed legally streamed by Hulu.

Note: I'm only suggesting the one anime at this point in time because of the fact I just joined for one and also because I don't like the concept of multiple entries on this sort of thing I find it tantamount to just throwing garbage at the wall and seeing what sticks, I do not judge others for this I just personally don't do it as I see it as more of an insult to the options I made. Like "This anime probably isn't good enough maybe this other one isn't as bad and can win"

Eden of the east is quite decent I'm pretty sure I own the series on BD. I have however not see the movies yet.

Could you possibly go more into depth on what you mean in that last paragraph. I think I read it wrong the first time though. The second time however I think your saying people shouldn't be able to suggest multiple anime?

No no no... that last paragraph was my reasoning for only suggesting one... as I had noticed other people are dumping entire lists which isn't my style...I'll post another one next week...  

And the Movies actually finish the series I highly recommend them if you can find them there a bit harder to find

I thought this anime was pretty awesome because I'm generally a sucker for sci-fi. I found the story to be consistent, with no random plot holes or side-plots that never got resolved. There is a clear goal set at the start and they go with it to the end. While it is a CGI anime it's done very well, at some points it is more noticeable than others but most of the time it works.

Oh, I didn't know we were doing movies too. Here is my movie suggestion list (will update as new ones come up). I'm not going to recommend Studio Ghibli movies. Most of them are automatic "must watch" imo. Same rules as my series suggestion list.

• Redline - This movie's animation is fricking gorgeous and the thing is sooo detailed. A single artist did every single frame by hand over a 7 year period. It's silly to an extent, but in a good way. It ranking above Studio Ghibli movies for me means it is something I very highly recommend.
• 5 Centimeters per Second - This is a love story in 3 acts. It's got beautiful animation and the story really grabs your heart and squeezes it. It's slow, but I like that. Gives you time to appreciate the animation. Read the epilogue manga novel after you watch it. It adds to the ending.
• Karas: The Prophecy & Karas; The Revelation - These movies are actually 6 OVAs. 3 OVAs to each "movie". The animation/CGI is kind of great, and the action is fun to watch imo. Supernatural/Action/Mystery are the genres. 
• King of Thorn - The CGI in this movie is absolutely terrible. I'm getting that out of the way now. However, I really did enjoy watching it. The mystery/reverse "who dun it" story was pretty awesome. The end has a great twist (M. Night Shyamalan level), and it was pretty good overall. The CGI is like poison to me though. I want to rank it higher, but I can't because of that.

I feel like if we are watching a series, the movies go along with it. i.e. Cowboy Bebop's Knockin' on Heaven's Door.

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou (Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo)- really is one of the best animes i've ever seen, it's really funny have some great drama and the romance is good, the ending is also very satisfying.
