While the ISP's should try to stop people from pirating (says the guy who pirates all he wants hue) it doesn't mean that they should have control over the internet - if I'm not mistaken, there's some movement to try and make the internet a public faculty like water, gas, and electricity to stop the bat shit cray ISP's (looking at you Comcast) and all these copyright Nazi's

Heck,even the example with the car they made is wrong...

I kind of understand what they said about the car I just think they worded it wrong. Lets take the Recent Recall on the Chevy HHR the ignition would randomly cut off while the car was driving thus locking up the steering system which caused many deaths. that is the manufactures fault for not doing proper testing before releasing the vehicle now what he said about Pirating is BS but here's what I have to say about that. Is it illegal if you buy a CD and burn a copy for your friend or let him copy it from your computer to their phone? No, simply because you are not making any money off of it so if you aren't making any money off of it shouldn't you be able to give movies to friends. or if you aren't giving money for the movie shouldn't you be able to down load it from the internet? I think so but at the same time the Producers do have to make money so it's kind of a hard subject to touch on

Well, online gambling is illegal in certain areas in the U.S., but it isn't the gamblers that get in trouble, it's the websites that get shut down.

 

One of my friend who is in law told me that there is a law in the U.S. that protects people in their own homes/property. Gambling online is done inside their homes, which is why it's hard to prosecute.

I guess that can somehow correlate with pirating? Something like "I'm using a product in my house it's not stealing. The ISP is the ones that are bringing it into my property." Or something like that?

 

I'm not in law so I wouldn't know.

So don't use it and see how wonderful your life is. Most people who don't use currency eat from garbage bins and sleep in doorways, but even then if it wasn't for currency there would be no bin or doorway.   Money is the evolution of the barter system, a system that is intrinsic to survival,  to claim no inherent value in a system that allows us to eat without owning land is ludicrous.

maybe they bring the violence out of people, by providing a simulated environment where they can practice their violence and get a taste for it before they go onto the streets and just randomly start jacking cars and beating up old ladies. :o :unsure: :ph34r:

I can safely say I have never wanted to run people over for their cash after I played GTA:SA at fifteen.

Resolution is just a number, 30 FPS is cinematic, if someone pirates something such as a radio it's the ISP's fault, having multiple monitors makes you a crazy person or hacker, and knowing quite a bit about computers makes people believe you use it for bad. It's funny coz just the other day I had this irresistible urge to go go-carting and throw turtles at people.   Lucky for the people in my area I don't have a go cart (or turtles).
