Can anyone tell me why the fuck MS called it One? other than pretending it is a media device (going totally away from what a console is fucking supposed to be)

 

 

Yeah i am a PC gamer, but there are reasons why i kept my older gen consoles.

 

The original XBOX is XBOX ONE, the new one is supposed to be XBOX 720p.

I assume they did it because its basically an all in one TV,DVR and gaming machine but I don't really know or care.

I actually had fun on that console  :mellow:

I kept mine and banged Linux on it :P, oh and guess what? it outputs full 1080i HD, and even plays some games in Full 720p.

 

Soul Calibur II is glorious in 720p :o

it's an all-in-ONE device.

simple as that.

unless you want basic windows 8 functionality.. like installing applications... writing papers etc. It runs windows 8 core... yet we cant use it like any other pc.

Fun fact: One of the potential names that were consider for the original Xbox was AIO, For All In One.

Do not  as I  do, and  not  as I say. Instead do as you may..
