I was behind one of the trailers that I had sealed the day prior and watched the security tape rip off in front of me as soon as the doors flexed.

Supposedly these loads make it all the way to Mexico to go become terrible cars that get wrapped around trees by trust fund kids but maybe someone will just steal everything out of it first.

Why so surprised?

Best part the switch wasn't broken. It was just the solder joint (don't judge Logitech for this fault. They used a 1 layer PCB and most (all?) more recent ones are two layer).

Didn't cared about  it so I went freestyle). Also not sure if the venting does good but it was there on the original part.

Replacement was needed for the wifi dongle which is inside this metal enclosure ...

unless it isn't some old thing 2 layers vs 1 layers are even usually cheaper

as longo it works it's all good (for both the case and keyboard)

on craiglist is full of annoying dudes

like they first try to be friendly with you, by wasting you time into chittychat, then they try to lure you to get in a meeting for "seeing the object/testing it" and then trying to get a favor price, by making low balls offers

after a while, I got mad at a random dude, and I basically told to him to fuck off, and that I will not play his game

then he started to making up endless excuses and playing the victim

I should have blocked him like all the others

GF has taken over my 3950X/RTX 3080 while on leave for the next six weeks, but it's cool I got this, er, uh, *checks build notes* ...Spare parts build of an i7 2630QM and RX 460 2GB...

Well at least it plays Quake!

There's also a 3900X/GTX 1080 with a Roccat Sova/Game Pads hooked up to the TV for couch gaming, but this is 'it' for secondary 'Desktop' that is at an actual desk.

Built a old PC in an ever older case.
I don't even know what brand the case is. And yes i like it yellow. 🤣 not.
I do think i know it being from the late 90's. But its huge tho.
Can easily see the size since there is a full size ATX motherboard in there.
To lazy to check which one, but it has an AMD Phenom 955 BE in there. 6GB of glorious DDR3.

Kinda use the extra USB ports at the bottom to fill up the empty PCI slots since i had no covers anymore.

I do like that PSU, it has RPM sense wire for its own fan.

Screenshot_50.png

On the bottom right behind the long PCI card holder things, is an 80MM fan blowing in.

RPM controlled via motherboard, just as the CPU fan.
Top left 120MM fan is an old Antec (900 case-fan) that has a 3 speed switch. But its connected to 5V since the switch doesn't work anymore.

It works and can barely hear it.

I took out the SSD i had in my notebook, since its charger died and i DONT have bank to get a new 100W 19V charger.

(Acer 8930 needs a lot of power for pretty much not much speed 😄 )

But i was bored and took out the PCB of my 120GB Patriot Burst 2.5" SSD. Those things are tiny, and was a way better fit in a case that has no 2,5" slots of any kind.

Screenshot_51.png

This was build form all left over parts.

I spent 0€ on it. And thats probably all i will spend on this, it now works perfectly to view my movies and TV shows when I'm chillaxing on me bed.
Way faster then a dual-core 2Ghs ancient notebook. Altho i do miss that glorious 18.4" 1080p screen.
I wish i had a better monitor then an office style VGA only 1440x900 heavy lump thing, with not the best contrast.

The optical drives are not connected, just to fill up the space, i had no more 5.25" panel thingy's, only the 1 you see on bottom.

The card reader actually works, altho i did have to get some DuPont cables from my Arduino set to lengthen the USB cable, as that case is so big.

Also its holding up some stuff, but that doesn't weigh to much, even tho i have stood on the case without it flexing a millimeter.

Unfortunately i lost the reset button tho.

Ordered some Hardware last week from ebay and Aliexpress.
Xeon e5 2560 v3 64gb of ecc ram and a Chinese designed "x99" mainboard, like a nice stuff for a workstation that is not meant for games, but it hasn't shipped yet.

i hate waiting 😕

If you hooked all those ODDs up you could:

-illegally duplicate movies (joke)

-listen to 4 CDs at once

-watch all the Shrek movies except for one at the same time

Somehow still plays lego games as i remember it from 2003.. or 2005.. But at 20 odd fps 😄

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

Did you know?:

The Classical Latin Alphabet didn't have the letters Y, W, J, U

Y = I

W = VV

J = I

U = V

And all letters are capital.

So the way you write Julius Caesar is like that:

IVLIVS CAESAR

And Quintilus Varus goes like this:

QVINTILVS VARVS

I like how Latin fonts have such a majestic Q = Q
