But if a nuke strikes straight on or close enough to a military base, the radiation will be so high and temporarily the heat also will either destroy anything in its path or make it unusable because there is so much radioactivity.

For one, NK is a dense forest so its hard to get tanks through that mess. NK troops will use Guerrilla warfare to fight us off like the Vietnam War. Also American and the UN will go in since it has to protect the Nuclear treaty (forgot what that was called). Lastly if we got so far in NK Chain would attack us again like in Vietnam.

Gathering information, analyzing it yourself and coming to a conclusion based on your own analysis doesn't seem to be done all the often now-a-days... so many people just believe what their told or just get all their info from only one or two sources.

First of the USA is not the neighbor of South Korea. They don't know enough about the region to be the guy who decides what should happen.

 

Second, unlike you with your neighbor, the USA doesn't give a shit about South Korea's well being. In the likely hood of a war they would intervene just like the last time but it wouldn't be about saving South Korea. It would be about not letting communism win. Just like the last time.

Who are you to comment on what the US as a country cares about? Given that the US gives more than twice as much in foreign aid as the next country down the list, I'd say it is fair to say that America does in fact care about the rest of the world. Sure, we may get ourselves into trouble, but that's just because everyone else is small enough to fly under the radar. North Korea may not be a threat to the US, but they certainly are a threat to their own citizens.
