Looking good! How are you liking the A770? I went with an A750 as an encoding GPU but haven't been able to really use it since it doesn't play well with my Radeon right now.

Why? Old cases can do just as well and would have messed with OPs budget.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Look at the airflow in that thing lol. Components probably choked off as hell. Should have gotten a quality 850w unit instead of 1000w and used the difference on a new case

What's wrong with the airflow? A770s don't run hot, there's no more HDD cage "blocking" airflow. The computer doesn't look like it has a solid front panel.

You know the cool thing about building your OWN computer? It can be what ever parts and components you want. Just because you personally don't like it doesn't mean it's bad.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

My rig after a bit of a refresh. Swapped the 5600X for 5800X3D, the original AMD Wraith Prism RGB fan for EVGA CLC 280mm, the CoolerMaster B700 for Seasonic Focus GX-1000 and the old Deepcool case for a new Deepcool Matrexx 70. Oh and from triple 1080p LG 24MP59G monitors to a single 1440p Asus TUF VG27AQ. Now just waiting for the RX 7900XTX to launch so i can finally retire the poor old GTX 1070 in peace.

My gaming setup 🙂 In the first pic from top left that's a Series X, PS4 Pro, Bottom left is 3 Analogue consoles, Mini Nt Noir Super NT and Mega SG, a Switch, and my Surround receiver, Under the right TV is an Xbox one. That's all mounted on a 12 foot by 8 foot door that is hinged to swing away from the wall, and all the cables are behind there via holes behind the consoles and such 🙂

In the area around the CRT is a  homebrewed Wii, Atari Flashback 2 that's been modded with a cartridge slot, Mini C64 and Super Nintendo(for later hacking) 3 fat boy Ps2s a PS2 Slim, the New Atari Console, and various other retro consoles in their original boxes 🙂

In the second pic, my messy computer desk(don't judge, its also my work area for tinkering with electronics!) from left to right is: a Polymega game console connected to a 27 inch monitor, behind that is a Tandy 1000TX complete with Monitor and original joysticks that has been modded to have an SSD for a hard drive, under that is a Tandy 2500 Sx20/HD also SSD modded, connected to an original Iomega Zip 100 Drive, then my Dual 27 incher setup for my cheapo gaming rig 😛 (to my shame, its a prebuilt because at the time, the video card that came in it was more expensive than the entire computer) and my quest 2 setup.

for those wondering, the Gin bottle is full of skittles 😛
