Show off Your Setup! (Rev.2)

LogicalDrm

This is THE thread to show off what you are spending your days, nights and mornings at. Because we all know, we can't spend them without something to type with, look at and consume with. All setups are welcome. From your schools Chromebook on kitchen table to the comfy console gaming couch to that sleak, one cable Apple lounge. To those gaming setups filled with RGB-goodness, your nerdy cave with figures, sim racing setups. To any custom builds, be it your first or n+1th.

House rules:

  • Post your current setup, with pictures. Specs are welcome, but we are here to drool and be amazed of what kind of setups this community thrives from.
  • Try to keep discussion on topic, which is the setups. If you have more specific questions regarding troubleshooting or difference of some parts, please use your own thread in proper subforum.
  • If you are planning to build something and want to ask advice, proper subforum is New Builds and Planning.
  • If you are building or planning to build something from scratch, you might want to log and share the experience at Build Logs.
  • If you are caring person, please remove pics from quotes. While current forum version does hide them inside the quote box, they will still load which can be annoying and expensive to those on mobile connections.

Have fun!

PS. As some of you might note, this isn't the original thread from 2013. The original, with all its wonderful pics and builds, was lost due its creator deciding to leave us and deleting their account. While it might be possible to get that thread back, it has been decided not to be worth it.

Ahhhhh, I still cant believe I preordered that shit. My friend got the higher version with the Duke Nukem bust. Too bad that will likely be the last Duke Nukem game we will see, I dont see the franchise being allowed in this day and age.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Here's my side of the dorm room this year! Unfortunately don't have a single room like last year but I also have less free time so I wouldn't get to use the other side anyway...

image.thumb.png.0232a32a674dc8414086b006da6ea3e9.png

Left computer is my workstation, HP z620 Rev.1. Xeon e5-2690 v1, 8x4gb DDR3-1333 ECC, EVGA GTX 980 Superclocked, Sound Blaster Z. Storage is a lot: 256GB SSD (boot), 1TB SSD (programs), 128GB NVME (raw video), 2tb Ultrastar HDD (Files), 2tb Ultrastar HDD (more files), 2tb Ultrastar HDD (older video clips), 4tb Ultrastar HDD (backup), 120gb HDD (output of video editor and Cinema 4D). PC on the right is my XP system, for old software, overclocking, testing IDE/SCSI drives. GA-M51GM motherboard, Athlon 64 x2 6000+ (OC'd to 3.4ghz), 2x1gb OCZ Platinum RAM, GeForce 6800, Sound Blaster 128, Adaptec SCSI card, 500GB HDD. Main monitor is an Optix G24c (1920x1080 144hz bought back when that was top of the line). Left is a 1920x1080 Asus from ewaste. Right is a 1920x1200 Dell from ewaste. Furthest left is a 1280x1024 from ewaste. I do CAD, rendering, video editing, and hard drive testing (some recreational, some for my work) so my workstation is very custom built for that. Up on the shelf I've got a row of tapes, that's another thing I love, and yes I have a box of GPUs. Wait till you see my bottom desk drawer - full of hard drives...

Yeah, if you read the OP it says that the person who created that thread deleted their account and that thread along with it.

RIP thread 2011(?)-2022

Well that's what I figured, but they didn't actually label it as thus--or refer to the name of said thread.

Sorry for not remembering how the original title was word-to-word. It has been referred as Show off your Setup -thread when merging or locking.
