Will update post with the rest of my set up once my computer moves back into that room.
Specs in the signature are correct except this picture adds water cooling, Fractal Pop XL Air, Corsair hx1000i and an Arc A750.

Couple tubes to clean up as I’ve got time but happy with it for my first time with custom loop.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I get why people use flexible tubing, because I do imagine this taking a lot more work, and much easier to mess up. But this looks so much nicer.

Honestly this is what I dislike about going a laptop the most, because honestly mine is super fast and I have 0 complaints about it. But I had plans for a PC case build, including water cooling in a pyramid case (Azza).

There’s something about every tube I don’t like. I did use less than half of what I got. As I get bored I’m going to make replacement tubes for the first time I drain the loop.

Overall, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Don’t know if it’s right or wrong but what I found was that even with the piece one the hardline it was still wanting to slightly crimp. What I was doing that to get around it was to go slightly past what I needed and then go back. It opened everything back up.

For sure something I’m going to be sticking with though. Went with the Corsair Hydro kit minus the graphics card water block. Couldn’t get their 6800xt block anywhere so it’s an EK block.

I can definitely see some things that I definitely get you want to replace, but it still looks good, it's not perfect, but it's just so much more satisfying to see. If you can get these results, I'm sure you can get the results that you want.

My apartment is tiny as heck in LA (300 feet) so I wish I could have a deeper desk but I do with the space I have. I do a lot of video editing from home for work - hence the three monitors. I just set up the Car Thing tonight and it works well but wish it didn't have to be connected to my phone. 90% of the time I keep the lights just white - my tv/desk blocks both windows so the nanoleaf is my main source of light.

Nanoleaf lights. Herman Miller Logitech Embody Gaming. Ikea Countertop as the desktop. Spotify Car Thing. Dell 34" Monitor. 2x HP Omen 27i. Samsung Tab S8 Ultra. Logitech G915 LIGHTSPEED Clicky. Razer Basilisk (for now....). Edifier Speakers. Arctis Pro Wireless.

2nd full build:

i5-12600k

Gigabyte z690 UD AX WiFi

MSI Ventus 2x OC 3070

Teamgroup 32GB ram at 3600mhz

corsair 750w PSU (don’t remember exact model but gold rated fully modular)

Corsair 4000D airflow (original case fans absolutely sucked so replaced with some white LED Corsair fans)

Teamgroup 1tb SSD (didn’t realize how little 1tb really is today with modern titles taking hundreds of GB’s, yes hundred)

didn’t wanna go fully into rgb, mostly due to the ridiculous price spike for rgb components, but I do wish Msi would’ve included rgb on their Ventus 2x 3070 instead of just painted it. 2x or not it’s still a $600 card, and considered a premium product by many, and imo the customer deserves the bells and whistles that are expected when purchasing a high end GPU, but I digress.

Trying a new fan config on PA120, and I am also trying out the fan header on the GPU to drive the lower fans, hopefully it’s not a waste of time 😄

Edit:

The GPU couldn’t power both iPPC, bummer.  So now trying something else and will probably order a few fans today 🤔

Sorry, I posted in the wrong space previously.

I used the missing ingredient Linus didn't have when he built the inverted Lian Li.

Inverted Lian Li 011 Evo with Inverted with upright GPU (600mm Riser cable routed around the back).

I think Lian Li should include the 600mm Riser cable,IMG_0340.thumb.JPG.0fec67de249b98ede6dfd689f9612249.JPGIMG_5017.thumb.JPG.35ddf8bb7bed541fd5e03030a0885c8e.JPGIMG_5015.thumb.JPG.a52b35e01aed118166d81c45eb79f8b2.JPG in the kit.

Can you explain the cpu cooler? You have 2 fans on the outer parts of both towers exhausting in different directions.

Normally you would have a fan on the front pulling into the centre where there is then another fan helping to push through the second tower which then gets exhausted by the case fan.

I can absolutely explain. 🤣

I have two bad fan headers right below that cooler, the fan positioning is a direct result of that. All fans are directing air from back to front. One is pushing through the back of the cooler, the other is pulling. Temps under load didn't take a hit. I never see anything over 53c while gaming.

With the recent video about the gaming UPS and Linus mentioning on the WAN show that SilverStone makes cool stuff, I thought I'd share my setup that I put together over the summer. It has an Eaton UPS, 2 SilverStone cases and 2 SilverStone drive bays. The project started with wanting a NAS/VM server and needing a UPS (having occasional voltage drops/brownouts). Also I didn't want three loose devices under the table, so rack-mounting everything seemed like a feasible option.

The rack is a 12U 4-post open frame from StarTech. It fits under the table with about 1 cm to spare.
Rest of the tower from bottom to top is:

  • Eaton 5PX 1500VA/1500W Gen2 UPS
  • SilverStone RM41-H08 case. Running TrueNAS Scale server
  • SilverStone RM42-502 case. My PC that is in need of an upgrade
  • Shelf for network devices. Using the ISP provided devices for now
  • PDU mounted on the back side of the rack for plugging in the network devices
