Bring my car back to top fitness, perhaps get a new smartphone... else put the rest in to pay of a credit...

 

finishing of the credit alone would leave me with 300 bucks more each month.

I would invest $3,000 into stocks, maybe another $1,000 into crypto, get an epic PC, (probably $4,000) and give the other $2,000 to my parents. (Knowing my dad he’ll invest it into Doge lol.)

  • Use it to get a place that accepts pets, so I can move my wife and cat out to where I am.
  • Put some aside for my son
  • Buy a brand new ThinkPad P15 Gen 2

An extra 10k would really help in the short term.

100%.  Pay off the mortgage.  Or at least I normally would.  Not sure if inflation keeps going.  Saving is just sack-tapping yourself if inflation is out of control.

 

Happiness is getting your monthly expenditures minimized and keeping them there.  I can be stupid and frivolous with my money in retirement--assuming I have sufficient disposable income and I live that long.
