How to upgrade your graphics for FREE

ColinLTT

DLSS has been around for a while now, and while Nvidia has improved it continuously, games almost never update the version they use. But now there’s a very simple way to do it for yourself…

Lets see how destructive the LTT community is in a weeks time, or more precisely how much they actually care.

TechPowerUp. They have very useful databases of GPU VBIOSes, specs of almost every video card + comparisons, etc.

I have an account on their forums; it's quite a chill place.

I've noticed that dlss isn't compatible with windows 7 and requires only windows 10 despite not using any functions of windows 10. I'm wondering why that is as the feature isn't OS dependent.

Oh I know. It's about making sure everyone pays. Doesn't matter for what, as nobody cares, just pay. Through the nose, at least, but preferably until bleeding your wallet to death :old-eyeroll:

I'm quite interested in finding out *how* they did it.

If people don't notice a difference between 560p and 4k then their upscaling is very good already. In which case I want to use that program myself.

I mean, they have 8k cameras. If upscales can get close to that level of sharpness then who needs to spend money on expensive equipment? And if they meant game footage then that changes things too. You could claim your game is running at 4k and easily trick people.

There's like some 20 avaible in stocknow.. Costing 1675$ for one. No idea what thats above MSRP but its a gigabyte card, prices have dropped it seems because these cards used to be at 1900-2000$+ 😐

Im glad atleast the prices are slowly going down.. The other day i saw a 6900 XT go for 1350$ and it had 45 in stock 😄

EDIT: I WAS WRONG, IT WAS NOT.. A GIGABYTE CARD.. IT WAS A MSI CARD.. WHAT THE???

EDIT2:

I basicly spent 18000NOK for the MSI 3080 SUPRIM X card and now i find out the same bloody card just not TI edition costs 15000NOK.. Thats basicly 350$ i could have saved..

Big oof.

AMD FSR can be used in any game via a 3rd party utility whether the game natively supports it or not. GPU brand agnostic.

If anybody wants to try it out, links below:

Pleasure man! I can see this being quite handy for situations like that. If the image is a bit soft you can try a bit of sharpening from nvidia/amd control panel.
