5/7/2021 6:07:19 PM | PrimeGrid | Not requesting tasks: don't need (CPU: ; NVIDIA GPU: GPUs not usable; AMD/ATI GPU: GPUs not usable)

All possible gpu task but the longest two have been selected in primegrid preferences.

Ooh, was almost excited to see PrimeGrid then noticed it was any credit reported within the timeframe? As I crunch it for primes not credit I can't fully advise on optimising for such but can give some insights.

Credit for the GPU projects I believe is only granted when two matching results are returned by different people. There will be some risk of units not validating in the challenge timeframe, and that risk gets higher the longer the work unit takes. On that note I'd suggest against going after the bigger GFN tasks. If you bunker be sure to flush in good time.

There was supposed to be some credit boost for sieve over prime number finding, so PPSSieve might give the best credit/time of the GPU projects. I know it had a reputation in the past that it attracted people just looking to gain boinc credit, but don't know if that is still the case.

The smaller GFNs may not be able to max out big GPUs. Some people work around that by running two units at a time through them but that requires custom config files.

CPU task credits tend to be lower than GPU, so there will be a bigger consideration where they are best put, on this project or elsewhere in the Pentathlon. If you choose to run LLR based projects, note that is running Prime95 levels of stress. GFN does things differently but still pretty stressful, but they are best left to GPU.

I'm windows rdc, but I've taken an old screen down to them and a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Next problem boinc is causing blue screens.

This is one reason why we should petition BOINC as a stability testing tool. 😆

One rig Kernel Pannicked on SiDock had to dial down the O.C. appears to be working fine now. Consider doing the same.

I agree! Do science and test the stability of your system. My 5960X is only stable at 4.5-4.6Ghz on BOINC but normal tasks it can do 4.7

Mine will do WCG for literal months 24/7 at 4.4GHz but SiDock went NOPE immediately. Couldn't even login it'd crash as soon as BOINC started on boot. Dialed it down to 4.2GHz and everything appears fine'n'dandy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Try underclocking the AMD GPUs a little and see how that goes. We all know factory OC's can not be 100% stable

6800XT was to blame, wasn't being detected correctly and pulled it from the system, its now replaced the 280x in the 1600af rig, and is working correctly.

Doing some of them tasty 20% bonus tasks.

RX 6800XT looks to be able to complete one every 4-5 hours, so others might want to consider doing them also.
