I have no idea what my average credit will be but current sitting just shy of 1,000. Given how my cores I'm working with I really hope this ramps up given what others are seeing.

@Shlouski@Den-Fi and everyone else with GPUs. you ready to throw some GPUs at PRIMEgrid in a couple days? 

 

I'm going to be dropping all four of mine on the project, we're a heavy hitting F@H team so I'm hoping we can get some juice from those guys. I'll be dropping some DMs to folders to try and get them on board. 

 

@Gorgon can you write a quick note on the start guide to explain the different projects and the like.

Not particularly. Most of my rigs were moved to my warehouse which we just moved this week. There's no networking to that area yet. I'd likely have to bring them home which I myself have not seen much of in the last month or so lol. We'll see.

Just found out this is running, getting all my hardware moved over to it! Right now I've got 80 threads across my machines getting pointed at SiDock. I think I can find another 24 later this evening, but those likely won't be able to stay on task the whole event.

I'll be putting a 3080, a 2060KO, and a 970 on PrimeGrid.

I didn't end up needing an invite code for SiDock, have they done away with that requirement?

Do you know how to bunker work units? If not it may be worth you reading the guide to best make use of your GPUs.

 

 

As for sidock if you make your account on the BOINC client it doesn't seem to ask for it. Don't forget to add yourself to the team for your points to count

I can't say I've ever joined in on bunkering before, so thanks for the guide! I'll give it a read.

Can confirm I'm on the LTT team for SiDock, PrimeGrid, and World Community Grid.

My personal opinion is that we should just focus on the Marathon this year. As I've stated before I will only participate in projects that are COVID related so my GPUs are staying on F@H. I just don't see searching for Prime Numbers and the like as a useful endeavor when my resources could be used to help alleviate the suffering of millions of people.

 

I realize it's a little late to be having a discussion on strategy but I think it would be useful given our limited resources.

 

We appear to have much less participation this year and my guess is that as other teams move resources off the Marathon to Javelin and City Run we will have a chance to catch up there and, quite frankly, it is likely the event with our only hope of placing in.

For the most part I agree with you, I think we should give a little go at other events but with the vast majority of our focus on the marathon. 

 

I'm going to pester the LMG guys to try to get a shout out on the wan show and maybe we can get more support we shall see.

Any chance you're willing to swap your GPUs from folding to primegrid once that event starts?
