Near the end, Linus challenged Dennis that if he did go over budget, Linus would take his neon sign. Dennis claims to not have gone over, but Linus thinks otherwise. We don't officially know yet.

The sign was clearly visible in the background of Dennis's stream during the Tyler tribute a week or so ago, so assuming Linus was serious, then he did not go over budget.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

I doubt he would've done that even if Dennis goes over budget. Probably would've just made him pay the difference out of pocket or from his paycheck... in addition to making some cheeky tweet about it. What would he do with a Live Love Liao neon sign hahahaa

"If it's signed out, it's not stolen." -- Dennis, circa 2021 (right before he was fired for stealing from work)

More seriously, he's technically not incorrect - if signed-out items are allowed to be taken home, they're "not stolen"... just on a really long loan. 😄

Linus: "Do you know why you got such a good deal on your [Facebook Marketplace] chairs? THEY'RE UNCOMFORTABLE."

Dennis: "No, but they are comfortable... comfortable to my... eyes!" -- Dennis, circa 2021, before his butt fells off after becoming numb from the chairs.

Probably Linus is trying to get that money back by selling those Live Laugh Liao shirts on lttstore.com...
Honestly, considering that Intel sponsored this upgrade, the only thing that would have made it worse is if Dennis had asked for "Intel Ryzen", "Intel Threadripper" or something...

I do wonder if Intel feels they're getting their money's worth out of this sponsorship (not that I feel any sympathy for them), since Riley opted for a relatively modest i5 (because minimalism!) and in Dennis's video they spent more time talking about chairs and massagers than the PC.

The sponsorship is just to get Intel's name out there.  It's a tech upgrade, not exclusively a PC upgrade.

What do you think sponsorships do exactly?

Coke and Pepsi continue to spend BILLIONS advertising their sugary water, and most people on earth know both companies.

Yo, Dennis! If your feet hurt after sitting for a long time, you might want to go to your doctor to see if you have plantar fasciitis in your feet and/or collapsed arches. A few years ago, I was finding my feet were really hurting after prolonged sitting sessions in front of the computer and it turns out I have some pretty bad foot problems (but nothing that some custom orthotics and a physio stretching routine haven't been able to keep under control). Just a thought.
