How long does it take your pc to boot?

Raphhashem

I was thinking that I could possibly benefit from these weird things called SSD's. SO just for the hell of it, could you guys say how long it takes for your pc to boot to the desktop to a usable state. This isn't an official study as it isn't like people will use this as a reference for anything.  :P

I JUST timed mine and it took 3mins 18 seconds. or 3:37 if you want to include chrome with 10 tabs.

It takes my computer too long to boot. Roughly 2 minutes. GO ahead and buy an SSD! It's going to make your computer so much faster.

EDIT: It might take 1 minute... Idk.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

About 15 seconds, it's hard to find a better pair than Windows 8 and SSD.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

I leave my rig on 24/7/365. The only time it turns off is when windows updates at 3AM, and when I wake up, it's already back to desktop. B)

With my previous setup with a 500GB HDD in my laptop about 1-2minutes I didn't mind waiting (Windows 7 Home premium)

Now I have a Kingston hyperx 3k SSD Windows 8.1 boots in about 30 seconds

3 minutes with windows 7 on a seagate barracuda 7200. I usually go and make a cup of coffee while it boots up.
